Most of the rear garden should be paved and feature an adjoining dining area, providing space for entertainment and family functions. The rear garden should also accommodate future construction of a 100 sq. ft. studio.
The back garden was designed as an outdoor extension of the home’s living area by emphasizing a strong sense of geometry. The generously-sized rectangular 250 sq. ft. rear patio can accommodate entertainment for larger groups, while a smaller wooden deck provides intimate family dining space. The rectangular form of the patio is interrupted with three evenly spaced cut-outs planted with Japanese Maples. This feature adds interest to what could otherwise be a dull rectilinear scheme.
